ABOUT COSMIC STORY
A quiet place to look at the universe, one story at a time.
About Cosmic Story
Cosmic Story is a small place for sharing the beauty and stories of the universe.
I have always loved looking at images of space.
Distant galaxies. Colorful nebulae. Stars being born. Planets traveling around other suns.
Sometimes I can spend a long time just looking at one image.
And I often find myself wondering what happened there, how far away it is, and what the universe was like when that light began its journey toward us.
That feeling is where Cosmic Story began.
More Than Just an Image
There are so many beautiful images of space.
NASA, ESA, and observatories around the world have shown us places that we could never visit ourselves.
But behind every image, there is also a story.
A star being born inside a cloud of dust.
Two galaxies slowly meeting.
A spacecraft looking back at Earth from billions of kilometers away.
Light that has traveled across the universe for millions or even billions of years before finally reaching us.
I wanted Cosmic Story to be a place where we can enjoy both.
The image.
And the story behind it.
Looking Up Together
I am not trying to make Cosmic Story a difficult science website.
There are many wonderful places for that already.
Here, I want to keep things simple.
I want to learn about the universe, share what I discover, and sometimes just stop for a moment and enjoy how beautiful and strange it all is.
I may not always understand everything.
Actually, there is still so much I don't know.
But maybe that is part of what makes space so interesting.
There is always something more to discover.
Words From the Cosmos
Sometimes the words of scientists and astronomers can change the way we see an image.
Carl Sagan's thoughts about the Pale Blue Dot are one example.
So from time to time, I also share short words from the people who helped us understand the universe.
Not only what they discovered,
but also what the universe made them feel.
Because science is about numbers, observations and evidence.
But I think wonder is part of it too.
A Small Journey Through the Universe
Cosmic Story will slowly grow.
Galaxies.
Nebulae.
Stars.
Planets.
Spacecraft.
And stories from far beyond our little world.
There is no need to understand everything.
Sometimes it is enough just to look up.
To wonder.
And to remember that somewhere beyond our sky, the universe keeps going.
Thank you for visiting Cosmic Story.
I hope you find something here that makes you stop for a moment and look at the stars a little differently.
